CE Course: Shiatsu Chair Massage Protocols

As Shiatsu practitioners, we find fulfillment in the peace that comes to both practitioner and client during and after a treatment. How can we expand this balanced sense of self into other massage therapy modalities? One way we can share this experience with others—who may not have the time or financial means for regular treatments—is through chair massage.

While traditional chair massage is expected to involve Western techniques, you’ll learn to blend shiatsu into a chair treatment. This will not only extend your therapeutic reach, increasing hands-on access to people who might not otherwise encounter shiatsu, but also allows for the earning of additional income outside of a private practice through independent contractor work.

In this class, students will learn what is expected in a corporate chair massage setting, how to manage time effectively, how to integrate shiatsu training into chair massage, where to look for opportunities, and how to get hired as an independent contractor.
