In addition to her clinical and teaching practice, she instructs Shiatsu, Qigong, and T’ai Chi, emphasizing body awareness, self-healing, and compassionate presence.
A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University (BFA, Fine Art), Blue Cliff School of Therapeutic Massage, and Zen Shiatsu Chicago’s Post-Graduate Clinical Studies program, Karen’s work is grounded in both artistry and embodied awareness. Her philosophy draws from the Tao te Ching and the principles of Ortho-Bionomy®—honoring each person’s journey, supporting innate wisdom, and fostering harmony through mindful touch and movement.
