Zen Shiatsu grows out of the ancient intellectual traditions of Chinese Medicine, and the practice of acupuncture and herbalism.

This class is a foundational part of our Shiatsu Certification Program, and as a stand-alone class is offered for continuing education hours for Massage Therapists, Physical Therapists, Naprapaths, Social Workers, Nurses and Occupational Therapists. Come mix and mingle with fellow body therapists, and explore this rich tradition together! The course provides 12 CE hours.

The in-person format is a classroom experience meeting weekly for 4 weeks.

The online format of the course is an active, supervised course with homework.  The class dates are a series of Sundays.  Each Sunday a recording of a live 3-hour course is released.  You will have the week in between releases to watch the 3-hour video on your own timing.  An instructor will be directly supervising, answering questions in a text forum and arranging periodic Zoom meetings of the whole group.

Thus the online format can be expected to include 3 hours of weekly viewing, a short quiz, some assigned reading, and a 15-30 minute weekly Zoom.  The Zoom meeting is scheduled with input of the whole student group in advance.  In the event that you have signed up online and not received any correspondence about Zoom meetings within 2 weeks of the class start, please reach out to make sure that emails are coming to you correctly.
