CE Course: Shiatsu Chair Massage Protocols

As Shiatsu practitioners, we find fulfillment in the peace that comes to both practitioner and client during and after a treatment. One way we can share this experience with others—who may not have the time or financial means for regular treatments—is through chair massage.

In this class, we will blend western massage and shiatsu into a chair treatment. This will extend your therapeutic reach, increasing hands-on access to people who might not otherwise encounter shiatsu, and earn you additional income outside of a private practice through independent contractor work.

This class is open to shiatsu and massage practitioners.  Shiatsu therapists will learn how to structure chair treatments and open new job opportunities.  Massage therapists will learn how to integrate unique shiatsu approaches to stand out from the crowd as a chair massage provider.

In this class, students will learn: 

• What is expected in a corporate chair massage setting
• How to manage time effectively
• How to integrate shiatsu training into chair massage
• Where to look for opportunities
• How to get hired as an independent contractor.
