Instructor Angela Lorbeck
TEDx Speaker • Integrative Oncology Trailblazer • Resilience Educator
Dr. Angela Lorbeck is a pioneer in integrative oncology. For 23 years at Rush University Medical Center, including 19 years at Rush MD Anderson Cancer Center, she built what had never existed before—establishing the Cancer Center’s first acupuncture program and launching its highly sought-after 15-week oncology acupuncture internship. With more than 18,000 patient visits, she has shaped the field from the inside out, blending evidence-based rigor with profound human connection. Today, she shares that expertise nationally and internationally, advancing integrative oncology education and practice for the next generation of clinicians.

Beyond her clinical trailblazing, Dr. Lorbeck is a dynamic speaker and resilience educator. Through keynote addresses, conferences, and classroom teaching, she helps professionals recognize and reverse the patterns of stress and burnout that undermine wellbeing. Her resilience programs translate neuroscience into practical strategies, showing individuals and organizations how to transform pressure into clarity, focus, and sustainable vitality.

Her academic foundation—a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Master’s degrees in Public Health and Traditional Chinese Medicine, and certifications in mindfulness and functional medicine health coaching—fuels teaching that is both rigorous and deeply human. What sets her apart is not just expertise, but passion: to pass along what she knows, to light a path forward, and to ensure every clinician leaves with the tools, confidence, and courage to bring hope where it’s needed most.
