Madge Lockwood is a 1998 graduate of the Chicago School of Massage Therapy (now Cortiva Institute) where she was a member of the faculty and a professional therapist from 2002-2005. She is licensed in the state of Illinois and Wisconsin and has 20 years of hands on experience. For the past twelve years Madge has used her German language knowledge to learn modalities in Germany (the world leader in lymphatic research and treatment) and bring them back to the States. Madge taught manual lymph drainage for the Soma Institute’s Master Clinical Massage Therapy Diploma Program 2009-2011.
She offers an advanced manual lymph drainage course for CLTs and CMLDTs covering supplemental and edema techniques not taught in the US and over 30 detailed treatment protocols for conditions such as headaches, post surgery, lipedema, lymphedema and more. Madge is currently translating and developing curriculum for Marnitz Therapy courses in the United States.
Madge is the recipient of the 2016 Pioneer Award from the Illinois Chapter of the AMTA.
