Zen Shiatsu Chicago is an eligible institution for the use of GI Bill educational benefits.  Eligible veterans or their children may be qualified for 100% tuition coverage.

BAH/MHA Housing Benefits are also available for enrollment plans of 12 hours per week or greater.

All practitioners of massage or Asian Bodywork must hold a massage license for professional practice.

Graduates of Zen Shiatsu Chicago qualify for:

  • an Illinois Massage license
  • AND Certified Practitioner status in shiatsu with the AOBTA (American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia)
Our graduates have maintained a 100% pass rate on the national massage and bodywork licensing exam (MBLEx) for 14 years.

  • Zen Shiatsu Technique – 264 hours
  • Chinese Medicine – 103 hours
  • Anatomy & Physiology – 104 hours
  • Student Clinic – 84 hours
  • Business, Ethics and Electives – 70 hours
  • Massage Basics – 30 hours
  • Musculoskeletal Pathology and Shiatsu – 30 hours
  • Systems Pathology for Shiatsu Therapists – 30 hours
Transfer credit may reduce the program length to 380 hours or less.  Professional bodyworkers such as massage or physical therapists should submit their transcripts for review.
