Travel-Friendly Shiatsu Training in Chicago
and Missoula

For students in the Missoula, MT area.

Missoula-area students have a unique opportunity to complete their shiatsu studies with a combination of travel-friendly classes in Chicago, online courses, and local clinical supervision in Missoula.

This training option has a fixed schedule from October 2026 – August 2027, and involves a sequence of two-weekend intensives in Chicago, combined with online coursework and Friday daytime clinical supervision in Missoula.

Upon completion, graduates qualify for a Shiatsu certificate issued by the American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia (AOBTA).

For licensed massage therapists, the total reduced-hour program length is 380 hours, with a cost of $7700, reduced to $7200 in 2026 through the availability of $500 scholarships.

Other healthcare professionals may be eligible for the 380-hour length program, or may need to add a certain amount of additional training depending on the profession.

Zen Shiatsu Chicago’s continuing education credentials meet the requirements for continuing education credit for renewal of the following Montana professional licenses:

• Massage Therapy
• Physical Therapy
• Esthetics Instructors

Zen Shiatsu Chicago is licensed as a CE Sponsor for these professions in Illinois, thus satisfying the criteria that the coursework is deemed relevant to these professions.
